Happy almost summer babes! I cannot believe we are almost at the end of March! Here in California, everything has pretty much returned back to normal for the most part. My family and I are still taking precautions after hearing about so many variants coming out. Hopefully we can have a sense of normalcy in the coming months.
That being said, Easter is coming up, and whether you celebrate it or not Easter is kind of the start of warmer days, light-colored clothes, and outdoor activities. So we should celebrate by going out and enjoying the day! If you have plans to go to church with family, brunch with friends, or just have a get-together in the backyard we should use this as an excuse to dress up! Since many of us are limited on the places we can go out these days, I think it is a fun excuse to get dolled up and snap a few pictures for Instagram don’t ya think? Well after actively shopping and browsing the web these past few weeks I found so many cute transitional pieces that you girls can wear not only for Easter Sunday but all throughout the year. I am sure no matter what your style is, you can find something you like and add it to your closet!
1. LULU’S ROAD TO SUCCESS CROPPED BLAZER
I absolutely love me a good blazer! Whenever I am in need of cute girly pieces I always head over to Lulu’s because their collections are so great and the quality is more than amazing for the price tag. This cropped blazer comes in two different color schemes, a beautiful lilac color and a dusty blue which is more or less a blueish-green color. Either color is an amazing piece to add to your wardrobe to get a pop of color in for the Spring and Summer. It is light and airy, perfect to layer and if you want to transition it to the colder months, you can always add a chunky white or brown turtleneck to keep warm!
2. LULU’S MARIGOLD SATIN MIDI SKIRT
Slip skirts have been in fashion now for a few years and I am so happy that they made a comeback! Lulu’s has AMAZING quality clothes as you probably know, just taking a wild guess ;). When I came across this pretty little number I knew I had to share it with you all! Now, of course, my color of choice will be orange but they offer it in a more traditional color, black. You can easily pair this with any basics you have in your closet and still look like you spent hours pairing the outfit! I would recommend a satin cami top with a full-length colored blazer and some strappy heels.
3. ARITZIA TEN BY BABATON POLARIS BODYSUIT
This bodysuit is OMG! I automatically fell in love the moment I saw it on the site. It is a crew neck vegan leather bodysuit that comes in two different colors, a traditional black and a light pink color. Personally either will work with outfits year-round but if you want something a little different then opt for the pink (my fav!) color. You can easily wear this with a pair of jeans and heels for a night out on the town or with some trousers for a more classy gal style.
4. BEGINNING BOUTIQUE HERITAGE WRAP TOP
This top comes in an array of colors, lilac, sage, light green, yellow, white, and so many more! It is off the shoulder and is a bit cropped but can easily be “full length” if you pair it with a high-waisted bottom. You can totally dress this top up or down depending on the look you are going for. Want to look cute for a day at the beach, pair it with some cut-off shorts and sandals or some light-colored trousers for those days you want to look extra cute because why not right?! Oh and for my small chested girls (myself included) it offers some ruffle-ness on the boob area that gives the illusion of a bigger chest, and if you want a little extra flare, pair it with a pushup bra and you’re good to go!
5. SUPERDOWN RITA CARGO PANTS
Now joggers can be a bit of a controversial piece. I know for a while I did not like the way they looked on me. I always thought they kind of looked like pajama pants but… that was before I knew anything about the art of styling. Now I always opt for these if I want to be comfortable yet put together. Superdown is an oldy but goody for me and I love that I can find them on Revolve! They unfortunately only come in two colors but I would 1000% choose the rose gold as their pair well for any season and transition. For a night out you can pair it with a nice crop top and some heels if you are feeling risque. Or for those days that you are going to be traveling, choose an off-the-shoulder t-shirt and some sneakers and you have a total look, you can even go the extra mile and sport a felt fedora and some heavy jewelry to be the ultimate cool girl.
6. KOOKAI AUSTRALIA OYSTER TAILORED PANTS
If you haven’t already picked up on the fact that I am a die-hard fan of trousers, then where have you been?! Haha just kidding… But seriously I think trousers work with any body type and even if you only get one pair, you need them as part of your capsule collection. I stumbled across this site on Insta and I cannot begin to tell you how OBSESSED I am. Everything on their site is gorgeous and gives you that laid-back Australian sense of style and these are perfect for the warmer days lying ahead. You have the option between a sky blue color, light green, black, and khaki. They are a bit on the pricier side but they are sure to last you for so long. I definitely believe in having some high-quality staple pieces in your closet that are sure to never let you down. Pair it with any basic bodysuit you have in your closet, some sandals, a straw hat and you’ll look like you should be vacationing in Positano (ahh.. If only)!
7. SABO SKIRT ROSE CUT OUT DRESS
Yay for another Australian brand! Of course, I had to include a dress in my list of Easter/ Spring pieces! When I first saw this dress I fell in love, now I know I say that about a lot of things but it is so true! If I do not absolutely love it in the store/online then chances are I don’t really want it. But this white, open back, mini dress is something that I guarantee will look so good on every skin tone! I love the color white for the hotter months but find it so difficult to find items that have a little something extra. It is the perfect amount of everything! For my casual gals, you can wear some white sneakers (e.g. Keds) put your hair in a pony to tone down the look. As for my gals that love a little something-something, you can opt for a colored wrapped heel such as a light blue and add a cute headband to complete your look.
I am utterly obsessed with all these pieces and think these are some staples to have for the transitional months. I cannot wait to start shopping even more and give you babes some more inspiration in fashion for the months to come!
