It's officially the New Year and that means only a few more months of winter for some of us! But there is still a few weeks that your wool coats will be needed. Let's be honest, wool coats can be pretty expensive if you're purchasing one that has at least 70% of wool in the fabric.
The great thing about fashion is that there are so many great dupes on the market, everyone can get their hands on one! When it comes to winter fashion, I will say that it takes a little effort and thought process trying to figure your outfit out.
When it comes to wool coats, it can sometimes be difficult trying to figure out how to wear it casually or in a way that doesn't look like you're going to a party. Below are some of my favorite ways to wear wool coats in a casual way, which turns out to be sweats or oversized (no surprise there)haha! Ever since I have been with my boyfriend, I have made it a habit in stealing his sweatpants. The oversized look of mens sweats are so comfy and perfect for an airport look or if you're simply running errands.
That being said, neutral, cream, or brown looks are my favorite to pair any wool coat with. Following a color scheme when planning an outfit with a wool coat gives off the feeling that you have your life together, or at least that's what I think lol! Pairing some dunks, Jordans, or any sneaker you love elevates the fit even more while still providing comfort.

Here is another casual way I love wearing wool coats! If you haven't noticed already Jordans and dunks are my favorite to pair with any outfit to keep it looking casual and day to day. Oversized denim and a chunky oversized sweater is a comfy way to stay looking chic and muted during the winter season.
The wool coat can be tossed over the shoulders if you live in a place with warmer temperatures like California or it can be put on but left open to expose the outfit underneath.
My favorite thing about an outfit like this is you can pair it with boots for a day time to evening look or vise verse. Do you have work in the morning and your kids basketball game in the evening? Wear this outfit. Do you have to do shopping across town and attend a birthday dinner with friends later and have no time to change? Wear this outfit.
