Welcome to the start of my styling series! I wanted to start a new series, where I take one of my favorite pieces and show you how to style it in different ways, from casual to done up. In these designated blog posts you’ll get actual pictures of me showing you how I would styling a certain piece that I choose to cover during the series. I’m so excited to start this, you’ll be able to get a full in depth look into my closet and hopefully give you all some inspiration!
That being said, this week I wanted to do a staple piece I know is in everyone’s closet or that it is inexpensive enough to go out and buy one for less than 50 bucks! I think a blazer is such a unique piece and I find myself reaching for it every time I have no clue what to wear. Actually, I’m wearing one as I write this, if that tells you anything haha!
Just a quick tid bit to go over before we get started, I’ll go ahead and link the pieces I show in the photos if I can find them, if not I’ll link dupes! Part of the importance of this series is trying to keep it affordable with a little dash of some high quality items, so let’s get it going!
Shorts, Corset, and Lace Up Heels
This is by far my favorite look to wear and I get so many compliments on it! Yes, I’ll be a major outfit repeater just for this outfit. I always like to pair it with my Zara cut off shorts I bought last year and my Danielle Guizzo corset top which gives the outfit a little edge, along with the lace up back and silver closure in the front. I transitioned this outfit with two different black blazers I have, one from JLuxLabel that is faux leather and another cotton one from H & M. As for shoes I love a cute lace up heel or some calf boots if it’s a little colder outside. You take your pick on what vibe you’re going for!

Slip Dress
A simple look with an edgy twist for those that want a quick and easy yes put together look! Slip dresses came back into style and their here to stay! I don’t know about you but I might over buy an abundance of slip dresses during the summer, Zara will do that to you haha! But my issue is that I can only wear them a few months out of the year. Well not anymore. Throw on that dress with your blazer and a pair of sneakers (or heels) and you’ll be good to go! I have a dangerous habit of always having a pair of heels at the ready in my car so I can easily go from night to day in this look, although between you and I… Sneakers are my fav way to go!

Over Sized Denim and Heels
I’ve been loving the oversized straight pant leg look lately. Skinny jeans will forever have my heart but nothing is more comfortable and versatile than a statement jean. My favorite are these playback KSUBI jeans I got when I worked at Barney’s, they were part of the Kendall Jenner collection. I would def wear this with a type of bandeau top and pumps or some thigh high boots with a cotton blazer. In the photo I have on a blazer from Tobi I got years ago that I still use weekly to this day and a pair of my Christian Louboutin heels that go perfectly with this look!

Trousers
Such a basic look but sometimes people might be scared of looking to “professional”. I think the best way to style this is with a printed trouser, a solid color blazer and some flats. Since I’m living between two states at the moment I don’t have all my stuff 🙁 so I am going to show you guys a monocramatic styling look. I bought these trousers from Zara when I had to go to an award ceremony and have used them on more then a few occasions, as well as on job interviews. I’ll pair this with my cream blazer from Lilyful and a dupe of the Bottega Veneta Lido Mules heels that I ordered from Public Desire for an event or my AirForce One’s with my Louis Vuitton crossbody for an “on the go” fashion girl look.

Nylons and Heels
Okay now I love this freakin look! For my birthday I had bought so many outfits and it rained so I had to quickly come up with the next best solution. I took inspo from a Kim K look and made it my own. I bought some Target nylons, paired it with snakeskin some lace up heels I got from Fashion Nova, and a leather blazer that I button and tie at the waist. You don’t even have to worry about a top to go under. Such a cute combo with things you probably already have in your closet, you cannot miss out on recreating this look!

A Matching Work-Out Set
Back to basics babyyy! I went to the beach and had to stop by Brandy Melville and scored this pretty set. I bought a loungewear set that is basically biker shorts and a sports bar but it’s cotton so it’s major comfortable. When I have no clue what to wear, but know I want to be comfortable, I pair it with a matching blazer and my favorite sneaker, either the Nike’s that I mentioned on a My Mother’s Day Blog or my . You can even add a ball cap if you want a little more flair. This is perfect if you’re just lounging around the house and have to run a quick errand but still want to look put together!

This was super fun for me! I love going step by step and showing y’all how I would style a statement piece. Blazers have been a piece I can never part without, it takes every outfit to the next level no matter if you pay over $2,000 for a Balmain one or $40 for one found at H & M. I believe the person makes the clothes not the other way around.
I’m so excited to continue this series going forward! Until then babes!!
