If you did not already know, Target is the holy grail of shops. They have everything from food, clothes, beauty and basically anything else you can think of. During the start of the pandemic, I came to California to have more space than my tiny New York City Manhattan and wait until things calm down. Unfortunately for me, I bought one luggage that had all my winter items. What was I thinking when I packed my big North Face jacket?! Ultimately, I had zero clothes and I was washing clothes every two days or so since all shops were closed. It wasn’t until I went to Target for a movie that I realized Target clothing has stepped up their game since my high school days.

Now in New York there are a few Target’s but none of which were close to me, so I really had no reason to go. Well now I understand what the fuss is about. Target’s buying team has really been putting beautiful and affordable items in both their men and women’s section and I probably would go every other day and hit up different stores throughout my county for the sole purpose of buying more clothes. After visiting over ten different locations and stocking up on my favorites I made a list of some of the pieces I think are worth your hard earned dollars and those that are not.

1. A New Day Women’s Tank Top

Basic, basic, basic! These tank tops are everything you need to style your capsule wardrobe. They are super stretchy and hold their form after many wears. Target has many tank tops but I think the high neck ribbed ones are my personal favorite. Especially for my girls that do not like to show to much cleavage. Wear these as an under shirt during colder days or under a blazer for work when you don’t have time to pick out an outfit. 

2. Shade & Shore Bikinis

If you didn’t know before, I am telling you now! Target bathing suits are where it’s at. I stopped by my local store and picked some up to try out and I was amazed at the quality and fit for the price. The Shade & Shore line is definitely my favorite and it tends to be the one that sells out the quickest. They make the cutest colors and prints that fit with any style. Make sure you try them out before the summer comes to an end or else you’ll be on a hunt trying to find a location that has the suit you want!

3. Men’s Graphic Tees

If I could use one word to describe the main trends going on in the fashion industry right now it would be graphic tees. Okay well maybe that was two words but you get the idea! Graphic t-shirts are such a cute and edgy way to spice up any look. It gives off the “I didn’t try but secretly did look”. Especially, if you go up a few sizes with the men shirts. Taget has a lot of brands that you can chose from but my favorites are usually the band tees. Bravado, Awake, and the Disney/Marvel label make really great ones worth checking out. You can pair it with a pair of yoga leggings and sandals or elevate your look with a pair of black distressed denim, heeled booties, and a leather jacket. 

4. Levi’s Men’s Long Sleeve Trucker Jacket

If you read my post about denim that you absolutely need, then you know my love for Levis! Denim/jean jackets have been around for decades and I think is something that will never lose style. This jacket is perfect for those that love a casual look. You can wear it as a type of coat that you pair with a chunky knit sweater. Another option, that is a bit more girly is to wear it over a tight fitted dress to add some dimension. 

5. All in Motion Women’s High Support Zip-Front Bra 

We love affordable work out wear here! Sports bras can be a bit tricky especially when shopping online. But with this one, you can easily get away with fluctuating between sizes. They offer an array of different sizes for my small and bigger chested girls. The best part about this bra is that it is a zip up! It is easy to put on and does not feel restricting but also gives the support you need!

6. Stars Above Beautifully Soft Long Sleeve Notch Collar Top and Pants Pajama Set

Now I know a lot of people tend to not wear pajama’s to bed and opt for sweats. But sometimes you need a cute pair! Wether you are doing a sleep over with your girlfriends or spending the night at your boyfriends. This matching set comes in so many different styles and colors. They come in shorts, capis, and full length sizes so there is something for everyone! The material is buttery soft yet relaxing enough to spend all day in.

7. Auden Women’s Mesh Unlined Bra

When I first saw this bra in store, I literally fell in love! Target has definitely stepped up their game in all departments but especially in their intimate section. This bra is definitely sexy and it works perfect for those that do not want padding. It works perfect as a bralette and would go great with a mesh top for a night out.

8. Wild Fable Women’s Cropped Hoodie 

Anything cropped has my name written all over it! When I saw this jacket I knew it was going to be an automatic staple in my closet. It is light weight but still has some lining inside to keep you a bit warm. You can use it for those early morning work outs or throw it on with pair of high waisted denim and sneakers and you’re good to go! They come in 10 different colors so everyone is able to find one that is right for them! 

9. Denizen From Levis Denim Jeans 

I am so happy that Target started carrying Levis! Even if it is technically under a different name. The quality is still the same! For those of us that are not able to make it to an actual Levis store, this is the next best option. There are a ton more options in store but online has a great selection as well. You are definitely able to find a pair of Levi style jeans at an affordable price tag.  

10.Universal Thread High Rise Distressed Jean Shorts 

I know it’s almost fall in the states, but it doesn’t hurt to stock up on some shorts! I always struggle to find shorts that are comfortable, stylish, and fit my body type. These are just what the doctor ordered and have even got my sister hooked on them! They are true to size and offer the perfect amount of stretch so you do not feel so confined. It’s perfect for my babes that are bottom bigger since they form to your body and accentuate the natural curves. 

11. JoyLab Cinch-Front Racerback Bra

Sports bras are the most comfortable type of bra out there! Whether you use them for their actual purpose of just as an alternative to a regular bra. This JoyLab one is the most stylish one yet that’ll sure draw attention. They offer four different colors ranging from your basic black to brighter looks. This particular one reminds me of the Alo Yoga Wild Things Bra but at a lower price point.

12. Men’s Midweight Flannel by Goodfellow & Co. 

I absolutely love a good flannel! You can never have to many in my opinion. But flannels made specifically for women are not always the best I find.They tend to be more fitted and structured and that is not the look most people tend to go for. Shopping the men’s section has been something relatively new for me and I am obsessed! I discovered these flannels in the men’s section a few weeks back and they are a game changer. I purchased it a few sizes bigger to get a really oversized look. It is definitely comfortable enough to wear throughout the day and soft enough were it does not feel overbearing. They come 10 different colors and are on sale right now for $18.99! Be sure to grab one and style it over a fitted mini dress, jeans, or over a bikini during the summer months. 

FINAL THOUGHTS

Target has definitely elevated their clothing sections! Before you could not find anything cute and now you can easily drop a few hundred dollars in one trip. If you are ever in a rush and need an item and do not want to deal with the mall, Target is your best bet. From intimates to full on outfits, they have a little something for everyone!
